Seat Time Labs publishes independent sim racing content. This page explains how we make money and how that does — and does not — affect what we tell you. It's written in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and affiliate relationships.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are, or may become, affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission from the retailer. You never pay more because of it — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.

Wherever an affiliate link appears, we mark it clearly right next to the link (for example, "Affiliate link — we may earn a commission"), and pages that contain affiliate links carry a notice at the top. If a link is a plain outbound link to a manufacturer with no commission attached, we don't dress it up as anything else.

Our promise on recommendations

A commission never buys a recommendation. We choose what to feature based on what genuinely fits a rider's need, and we name real weaknesses even in products we like. If we ever can't be objective about something, we'll tell you — or we won't cover it.

Sponsorships and free products

If a video or article is sponsored, or if a product was provided to us or to a collaborator free of charge, we will say so clearly within that content. As of the last update to this page, our recommendations are not directed by any brand.

How we test and source claims

Specifications and prices are taken from manufacturers' official pages and dated, because sim racing pricing changes often. Hands-on impressions may come from racers in the community who own the hardware, combined with published reviews; we describe our method openly on our About page and flag when a statement is an impression rather than a measurement.
